In a book that I’ve been reading lately, the author talks about how we find great enjoyment in beauty of all kinds, but beauty that doesn’t lead us into a deeper appreciation of God’s glory leaves us wanting. It’s the temporary nature of all other beauty that causes us to keep searching for the Perfect Beauty.
